What free mode does
Free mode runs the complete detection on the first five minutes of your own recordings. Not a sample file, not a reduced algorithm — the same analysis, the same settings, the same output, stopping at five minutes.
That is deliberate. Multi‑microphone audio varies enormously, and the only question worth answering is whether Hush works on your recordings. Five minutes of your own show tells you that. A demo of somebody else’s does not.
Installing it
- Get a ZXP installer, if you do not have one ZXP Installer is free and does one thing. Anastasiy’s Extension Manager works too.
- Quit Premiere Pro Installing while it is running means the panel will not appear until you restart anyway, and the install can fail quietly.
- Drag Hush‑1.0.0.zxp onto the installer It will confirm when it has finished. Nothing else is needed.
-
Open Premiere and find the panel
Window → Extensions → Hush. Dock it wherever you like; Premiere will remember. - Paste your licence key, if you have one Into the box at the bottom of the panel. Without one it runs in free mode, which is the point — try it first.
If the panel is not there
Window → Extensions is empty, or Hush is not listed
Restart Premiere fully — not just closing the project. Extensions are registered at launch, so a panel installed while Premiere was open will not appear until the next start.
The panel opens but is blank or white
Close it, restart Premiere, and open it again. If it is still blank, email hushextension@gmail.com and say which Premiere version and which macOS version you are on — that pair is usually enough to identify it.
The installer says the extension is not signed, or refuses
Hush is signed. If an installer still objects, it is usually an old copy of the installer itself — download a fresh one from the link above. If that does not do it, email support rather than disabling any security setting.
Something else
Press Export Analysis in the panel and attach the file to an email to hushextension@gmail.com. It contains measurements and timings only — no audio — and it usually shows the problem straight away.
Updating later
Hush tells you in the panel when a new version exists, and subscribers get
an email. Updating is the same as installing: download the new
.zxp, drag it onto the installer, restart Premiere. Your
licence key and settings are kept — they live outside the extension
folder precisely so an update cannot wipe them.
